Vacation Rental Description

This charming terrace house is in a quiet little quarter in the upper part of the town but it is just five minutes walk from the main square. There is a local little shop just a few metres away.

from the narrow little street, an entrance door leads into a spacious living room with typical high-beamed ceilings and mellow terracotta tiled floors.

the room is comfortably furnished with sofa and easy chairs and, in one corner, the attractive dining area has chandelier lighting and built in shelving behind with a host of pretty ornamental ceramics.

double doors from the living room lead to the cottage style kitchen with low-beamed ceilings, tiled work surfaces and a lovely old pine table. There is a large fridge freezer and 4-ring gas hob plus a good selection of pots, pans and cooking utensils. It has 2 windows that look out on the neighbouring orange grove

from the living room a lovely old tiled staircase leads firstly to a bedroom with double bed at a mezzanine level and with windows and tranquil views over the neighbouring orange grove to the mountains beyond.

a further flight of stairs leads up to the first floor level where there's a small single bedroom and a very spacious shower room with tiled vanity unit and huge mirror and an unusual pair of circular wash hand basins in local terracotta. A skylight window gives a lovely soft light to the shower room.

one further narrow staircase with just four steps leads up to a cosy bedroom in the eaves of the house with a large double bed and again a window with lovely views towards the mountains.

the house has its own little garden with a pretty vine covered arbour with patio furniture and surrounded by bushes of fragrant jasmine and other flowering shrubs for privacy from the neighbouring gardens. It has a big wooden table and many chairs and the arbour has electric lighting making it a lovely spot to dine alfresco, whilst during the day there are wonderful views of the mountains.

close to the town square is the tram terminus for the 20 min ride down to the beach at porto soller and the train station to palma is nearby. There is also a bus to palma every hour. Car hire is possible to arrange, even if you want it at the airport.

trekking is also available and there are beautiful paths around to walk on the mountains or the sea side.
