Situated in the south west of spain, between andalucia and the algarve lies the small island of isla canela, which is attached to the mainland by bridge. The beauty of the island is that it is away from all of the mass tourism of mainland spain and portugal, yet it has plenty of interesting things to do and see. isla canela is a natural island connected by a bridge to ayamonte in the province of huelva, a town of the purest andalusian charm, marked by happiness, festivals, good food, and the affection of its people. This is situated close to the border between andalusia and the portugese algarve, which shares the charm of both areas and all their advantages. Located at the mouth of the river guadiana, occupying an area of 1760 hectors.
