the 450 acre lower mill estate is england's only private nature reserve, where the houses are built to complement the natural environment. with seven lakes and three rivers running through it - including the thames just three miles from its source, you will have plenty to do from walking, fishing and boating.

the luxury private spa, opened in 2007, has slate-lined heated indoor and outdoor pools, an eco pool where you can swim among the waterlillies, sauna, steamroom, gym and an outside tennis court. the spa offers wonderful pampering treatments to ease away the stress of travel. the spa is available free to guests of goose nest house (treatments extra)just two minute's walk from your doorstep.

the house has been equipped for families as well as groups of friends. with a highchair, travelcot, potty, bathmat, sterliser, hand blender, toy box and many board games, you can keep your children busy and not worry about what you need to bring.

the estate has a small shop selling freshly baked croissants, local produce and the daily paper. you can stroll to the shop in the morning (just 300m away), buy your croissants and newspaper and enjoy a breakfast on the balcony overlooking somerford lagoon. alternatively, you can lie in bed in the master bedroom, the glass doors wide open and enjoy the view.

just 20 minute's drive from both the m5 and m4 motorways and ten minutes from the historic market town of cirencester, goose nest house is the ideal location for sightseeing. you can spend the day in bath, oxford and london all less than an hour and a half's drive away and return to the calm of the cotswold water park. or you can simply explore the chocolate box villages of the cotswolds, lunching in a traditional english pub and watching the world go by.
