Vacation Rental Description
This paris apartment is located in an 18th century building in the first arrondisement. Formerly a hotel de particulier. It is now an historic building comprised of 6 apartments only. The building is very well located between the rue st honore, avenue de l'opera, and the place vendome/rue de la paix. The louvre, the tuileries, the embassies, the chic and fashionable shopping districts, the opera garnier and the palais royal are all within a 5 minute's walk.
this building is also on the marche st honore. Here in the middle of the place is a large modern office center of bnp-paribas. Downstairs, there is a mix of italian furniture galleries and an audi auto boutique. On all sides of the place marche st honore are many great restaurants, cafes, bakeries and bars. For those who come back late there is flo downstairs for carry out gourmet dining until 11pm. Just across the street is bretanos, the american bookseller in paris since the 1850s. Here you can find perhaps the largest selection of american and english newspapers and magazines in the city. There are also many non-english reading materials available. This is a great location for any occasion pleasure or business ! Upon entering the building, you are transported back to the 1700s with its large sweeping staircase and entry hall. No need to panic as there is a newly installed elevator to take you up to the apartment on the third floor. The apartment measures 150 square meters or 1641 square feet. There are 3 large bedrooms, a separate kitchen, 2 bathrooms, a large living room/dining room. The living room/ dining room area is a large open area with plenty of sunlight as there are window all around. The flooring is comprised of the old, original terra cotta, called tomettes.
there are lovely warm, exposed wood beams in this area. The decor of the furnishings is simple and stylish, yet with a antique touch. From the living room, there are three doors which go into other areas of the apartment - the kitchen, a third bedroom,and the master bedroom suite. The kitchen is a long galley style arrangement. It is fully equipped with an electric stove with oven, a microwave, and a dishwasher. There is a double stainless steel sink with a long countertop for workspace. You have a great view of the marche st honore from the large window at the end of the kitchen. The flooring in the kitchen is the terra cotta ceramic tile or tomettes. The third bedroom has direct access to the living room. It is a good size bedroom with a large double bed and night stand in it. This bedroom also has a marble fireplace in it. There are two windows which give you a great view on the place marche st honore. There is a small enclosed cupboard for storing personal items. This bedroom has access to either bathroom in the apartment as both bathrooms are independent and separate from the bedrooms. The flooring is royal red carpeting.
the walls are covered in a sunny yellow silk. The other door that has access to the living room is the master bedroom suite. It is comprised of a large bedroom with a queen size bed and nightstands. There is a antique desk and chair. This bedroom has a fireplace as well.the flooring in here is the classic tomettes as well. There is a large bathroom that is attached to this bedroom too. It has a bathtub with a shower in it. This bathroom features a large washbasin with a large vanity mirror. You have an electric heater/towel dryer as an added feature. There is a large dressing room for hanging clothes and shelving space for folded items. There is also a toilet outside of the dressing room. This suite also contains a small room that may be used for reading as it looks out onto the courtyard and is equipped with a desk and chair. The flooring is white ceramic tile.
the second bedroom and the second bathroom are on the other side of the apartment, just after you enter the apartment. Here you have a large bedroom with a double bed and nightstands. There is a desk and chair too. One wall of this bedroom has floor to ceiling closet space. The bedroom has two large windows that look out onto a quiet side street. The flooring for this bedroom is a light beige carpeting. The second bathroom is next door to the bedroom and is equipped with a nice sized-window, a shower stall, toilet and the combination washing machine/dryer. There is a nice sized vanity mirror and counter top for your bath necessities. This bathroom also has an electric heater/towel dryer. The flooring is white ceramic tile. Given the location of this outstanding apartment, with its old world charm and modern day amenities, you will have it all. The large open rooms of the apartment, the many windows and the commanding views on the marche st honore make this an exceptional paris apartment rental for either business travelers or vacationers seeking some of the best accommodations. The nearest metro stops are tuileries or pyramides.
