Vacation Rental Description
75 square meters 1 and 1/2 bedroom apartment is located in the 6th arrondissement, on the 2nd floor walk up of a 17th century building and it sleeps 4 people comfortably.
a flood of sunshine from a high window, hard-wood floors and a line of closets decorate the entrance hall, the first impression of the apartment, which is about three meters long and almost a meter wide. this hall leads directly to the living/dining room.
the first room after the entrance hall is a dining room with a cozy, low, beamed, heavy dark wood ceiling and a window giving onto the garden. this area is equipped with a wood table which seats 8, a buffet and enough room to entertain comfortably.
the dining area immediately opens up into the living room. the surprised eye is immediately drawn upwards, toward the 4-meter high ceilings, and a beautiful 3-meter high window giving on to the calm street, wide in the 17th century style, permitting plenty of light. the sitting room is pleasantly and tastefully furnished and has a 17th century working stone fireplace. the chic parisian decoration is further enhanced when you realize the ceiling of the dining area is in fact a mezzanine, a second floor peering down into the lofty living area. the mezzanine sleeps 2 comfortably, has its own window looking out onto the garden, and remains the first choice for children to play.
this living/dining area is about 40m2. the living room is furnished with : a long three-person sofa, coffee table, stereo, television with cable, dvd player, fast internet, built-in shelving, end tables, lamps, foot rests and a wing-back modern chair, all on wall-to-wall carpeting.
the 14m2 master bedroom is donned with a comfortable queen-size bed, end tables and lamps, as well as room for cloths in a chest of drawers. this room, next to the living/dining area, boasts the same high ceilings and window as the living area. It too has wall to wall carpet. it is also just next to the bathroom.
this 7m2 mezzanine bedroom is cozy and “cottagy”. it has a charming window with a view on the garden, a single bed with a pull-out bed underneath, and a desk and chair, as well as a lofty view down into the sitting room. the room does not have a full stand-up head space, though it is quite comfortable for reading, sleeping and working at the desk, as well as being a favorite for children. behind the bed is space for cloths and suitcases. it also has the wall-to-wall carpeting.
the 5m2 kitchen, with enough room to cook comfortably, is situated conveniently next to the dining and living area, and is fully equipped with lots of cupboard space, a stove, oven, 4 electric burners with extractor hood, toaster, coffee maker, microwave oven, large refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher, and of course all kitchen utensils, as well as a double porcelain sink. the red tile flooring is easy to clean and a window looking out onto the garden creates a light and cheery atmosphere.
this large comfortable 6m2 bathroom, tiled in white, boasts a full-size american bathtub with shower and a double sink, as well as plenty of cupboard space and mirrors. it is also equipped with the washer/dryer and toilet.
