Vacation Rental Description
This 55 square meter, 1-bedroom apartment (plus mezzanine) is located in the 2nd arrondissement, on the 3rd french floor of a 18th century building.
it sleeps 4 and up to 6 people.
the living room tastefully furnished in the 20th century eclectic mix of design furniture complements the space, with a new, big stuffed hide-a-bed sofa, 1960’s low buffet, stainless steel, upholstered design chairs, a glass coffee table, a granite and stainless steel dining table with four grey 1950’s snake-skin chairs, a large armoir with plenty of room and mirrored doors that further the feeling of space and light, and even a lemon-tree wood piano
this room is also equipped with a plasma television and vcr as well as fast-internet hook-up.
the american kitchen, with a high, light hard-wood bar is open to the living/dining area. functional, with a micro-wave oven, refrigerator, coffee-maker, two design hot-plates and a washing machine.
the bathroom is functional and harmonious, with an american-size bathtub to relax after a day of sight-seeing. it is entirely in white tile with a design sink, and is equipped with a tumble dryer.
the bedroom has the same open-rock wall and hard-wood floors as the living/dining area. Not a square centimeter has been spared to make this room practical and comfortable, with a small desk built into the wall and a square-hole design bookcase for further storage.
a mezzannine, is also available a crawl space above the bedroom and bathroom, is accessed by an antique ladder and has been rendered useful with a nice coco floor covering, a brute material in sink with the rest of the apartment and once again the open-rock wall, as well as two thick single mattresses.
location: the tourist or businessman would have trouble finding a more hip, central area in paris for their stay.
the rue saint sauveur (saint savior) is a pedestrian street with limited traffic therefore.
the first step out the door discloses a charming area composed of 17th and 18th century buildings, a sort of 17th/18th-century village. a minute away by foot reveals the bustling rue de montorgeuil, the most fashionable and trendy market street in paris, with everything the gourmet cook wants to find, as well as numerous hip, typical parisian cafés, a favorite for people-watchers. antique and specialty-shop lovers will enjoy the “passage du grand cerf”, a sort of 19th century “mall”, or covered street/shopping area popular at the end of last century.
closest metro: sentier (line 3) 1min walk, réaumur sebastopol (line 4) 5min walk, these two lines cross paris from east to west and from the north to the south. You\'ll be also 5min walk to les halles and chatelet les halles where you can reach several other lines.
